Amy Smart has been a model, actress and a former American. Born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. She began her acting career in 1996, when she appeared in The TV production Her Costly Affair. After a very difficult struggle, she landed a role as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. It was a difficult transition for Amy since she needed change from modeling to the acting profession. Models aren't thought of as great actors so they tend to get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy did not give up and she eventually landed larger roles in the films Varsity Blues and The 70s. In 2005, she was cast as the lead in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. Amy gained recognition after more than ten years of trying. She continued with major films such as the Crank series with Jason Statham and the series Shameless in which she was a well loved recurring character.
